Delete Your Gryter Account

You can permanently delete your Gryter account and all associated data at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app — it takes under 30 seconds. If you've already uninstalled, you can request deletion by email.

Preferred: delete inside the app

Deletion happens instantly when you do it from inside the app. No review window, no email round-trip.

  1. Open the Gryter app.
  2. Go to Settings (tap the profile icon).
  3. Scroll to the Account section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Review the on-screen summary, confirm, and (for Google sign-in accounts) re-authenticate when prompted.

The deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — there is no recovery, undelete, or soft-delete period.

If you no longer have the app installed, send an email from the address associated with your Gryter account:

What is anonymized rather than deleted

Any feedback or bug reports you submitted prior to deletion are retained in anonymized form — your user identifier is removed, but the message body, rating, and device metadata are preserved so we can continue improving the product. These records no longer link back to you.

What may be retained for a limited period

Download your data first (optional)

Before deleting, you can download a complete copy of your Gryter data as a JSON file. Inside the app, go to Settings → Download my data. The file is delivered to your email, typically within a minute.

Subscription billing is separate

Deleting your Gryter account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your store account settings:
